What Do We Do?
Glencoe and Glen Etive Community Council is a voluntary organisation set up by the Highland Council to act on behalf of the area and community, comprised of residents who care about their community and want to make it a better place to live.
Community SCIO
What Do We Do?
Glencoe and Glen Etive Community SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Institution) is a charitable body which works alongside the Community Council. Formerly Glencoe and Glen Etive Community Company, it received SCIO status in 2021.
The main purpose of the SCIO is to administer the Community Fund that receives monetary donations on behalf of the community from Edge Hydro Holdings Ltd, the operators of 7 hydroelectric schemes in in Glen Etive.

Community
We aim to improve the quality of the lives of our residents by helping to sustain a viable rural community in this area of outstanding natural beauty.
Local Initiatives
Provide support for initiatives which address the challenges of rural living and enhance the health and wellbeing, education, economic and environment for residents.
Funding
Distribute the SCIO funding in a fair and timely manner for the benefit of residents.
